Supplements and Teen Sports

The Wall Street Journal published a post on January 11, 2016, entitled Teen Sports Faces a Nutritional-Supplement Debate, by Rachel Bachman.

The article by Ms. Bachman, highlights yet again the reason I started my consulting business, Coaching for Champions and wrote my book Working IN: The Elite Athlete’s Guide to Working Out From The Inside.  An NFL player once told me that no matter how strong or outstanding a player looked on the field, he could always tell when the athlete was using drugs. High school coaches have shared with me there is not a day that goes by when they are not inundated by people promoting performance supplements. Research constantly shows these supplements can compromise both mind and body. So lets get to the solutions! It is high time we do something about this glaring issue.

There is an alternative to using supplements, steroids, performance drugs and recreational substances for sports for performance preparation and there are tools to manage the stressful world of elite sports. This is what my work is all about. Working IN: The Elite Athlete’s Guide to Working Out From The Inside is available on Amazon now.
